GALVESTON — A gymnastics and sporting facility is facing a negligence claim after a minor was injured while using a trampoline and suffered head and brain injuries.

Celeste Hernandez, individually and as next friend of A.S., filed a complaint March 17 in the Galveston County District Court against Jack Kuehl and Santa Fe Sports formerly known as Dana's Dance and Gymnastics doing business as Gymnastics Booster Club alleging negligence and premises liability.

A.S. was at the defendants' business on April 13, 2018 to participate in trampoline activities. Hernandez alleges in the complaint that while on the trampoline, A.S. hit on a nail and rod that was sticking up from the trampoline and suffered a head and brain injury.

Hernandez seeks monetary relief over $1 million, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Brian Crockett and Maxwell Paderewski of Crockett Law PC in Houston.
