HOUSTON — A female server is claiming she endured obscene, sexual comments and other harassment while working at an Italian steakhouse restaurant in Houston.

Alyssa O'Brien filed a complaint March 11 in the Harris County District Court against Gateway Restaurant Associates doing business as Vallone's Restaurant alleging sexual discrimination and retaliation.

O'Brien worked as a server at one of the defendant's restaurants in Houston in Harris County from June 24, 2017, through February 6, 2018. She alleges that she and the only other female server working at the restaurant faced sexual harassment including staring at their bodies, being called "girl" and being subjected to obscene, sexual statements. O'Brien claims her hours were cut in retaliation and she was forced to quit.

O'Brien seeks monetary relief, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Attorney Peter Costea in Houston.
