GALVESTON — A Freightliner tractor operator is suing Ebro Foods and others after slipping on a truck scale and suffering injuries  at a Freeport facility.

Donald Wonser filed a complaint April 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas Galveston Division against Ebro Foods S.A., Riviana Foods Inc., and American Rice Inc., alleging premises liability.

Wonser was exiting his Freightliner tractor at the defendants' Freeport facility on May 30, 2018. He alleges that he slipped on a truck scale that was "too narrow and slippery" and suffered injuries including to his shoulder. Wonser claims the defendants failed to eliminate or reduce the unsafe condition.

Wonser seeks monetary relief, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Alan Kolodny and Rashon Murrill of The Kolodny Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
