Former HP Heights worker claims he was denied worker's comp claim, fired after beer keg fell on him

HOUSTON — HP Heights and others are facing a claim by a former worker alleging he was denied approval medical treatment, worker's compensation and was fired due to suffering an on the job injury. 

Terrance Coburn filed a complaint May 1 in Harris County District Court against HP Heights LLC, Robert Cromie and others alleging wrongful discriminatory misconduct and other claims.

Coburn suffered an on the job injury on May 4, 2018, while working for the defendants when a keg of beer fell on his back. Coburn claims he suffered injuries to his head, neck, back and other body parts. He alleges that the defendants refused to approve his medical treatment, his worker's compensation insurance benefits and fired him in July of 2018 as a result of his injury claims. 

Coburn seeks monetary relief, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by George Tennant of The Law Offices of George Tennant in Pearland.
