HOUSTON — A former Boardwalk Pipelines inspector has filed a class action, alleging the company failed to pay workers for overtime.

Nick Doucet, individually and for others similarly situated, filed a complaint May 22 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Boardwalk Pipelines LP, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Doucet worked as a safety inspector for Boardwalk Pipelines from February 2018 through December 2018. Doucet alleges he and other inspectors worked 10 or more hours a day, seven days a week, and were paid a flat daily wage but not compensated for overtime. He claims Boardwalk's pay practices are in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Doucet seeks monetary relief, trial by jury, interest and all other appropriate relief. He is represented by Michael Josephson, Andrew Dunlap and Carl Fitz of Josephson Dunlap LLP in Houston and Richard Burch of Bruckner Burch PLLC in Houston.
