HOUSTON – Former Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst has been named in a lawsuit brought over a lease agreement.

Alleging breach of contract, The Redstone Building, L.P. filed suit against Falcon Seaboard Holdings and Dewhurst on June 17 in Harris County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on March 10, 2000, Redstone and Falcon entered into a lease for professional office space, which was amended three times between 2005 and 2018. By 2018, the agreement concerned approximately 7,776 square feet of rentable area on the 5th floor of the building located at 109 N. Post Oak Lane, Houston.

“During this time frame, Falcon defaulted under the Office Lease Agreement on more than one occasion,” the suit states. “Redstone’s damages resulting from Falcon’s and Guarantor’s breach of agreement total $246,158.91, plus accrued but unpaid interests and enforcement costs.”

Redstone is represented by attorney Stephanie Holcombe of Porter Hedges.
