HOUSTON – A local woman is alleging she suffered food poisoning after eating some Honey Smacks two years ago.

Seeking up to $200,000 in damages, Taeisha Murry filed suit against Kellogg’s on June 17 in Harris County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on June 14, 2018, Murry entered HEB to buy some Kellogg’s Honey Smacks, which she ate and became violently ill from food poisoning.

“She later found out from the news that there was a recall of this product later that same day,” the suit states. “Kellogg’s negligently distributed infected cereal to stores.”

Murry is suing for her past and future medical expenses, pain and mental anguish.

Houston attorney Ike Waobikeze Esq. represents her.
