HOUSTON – Arnold & Itkin was among the dozens of other Texas law firms that grabbed large chunks of cash from the Paycheck Protection Program earlier this year.

And now, a want ad seems to indicate the Houston law Firm is a “sure thing” during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In April, Arnold & Itkin received a forgivable PPP loan of $1 to 2 million from the Small Business Administration.

On Aug. 31, the firm, in search of a trial lawyer, put out a want ad on LinkedIn, promising “unmatched bonuses” and the “most competitive salaries.”

“With so much uncertainty in our world and our profession, there is a sure thing – the stability, drive, and commitment of Arnold & Itkin LLP to aggressively pursue justice for its clients,” the want ad states. “During the pandemic, we have not laid off, furloughed, or cut the salary of single lawyer. And, we have no plans to do so.

“In fact, we redoubled our efforts to immediately hire the best and the brightest trial lawyers to join our team and have added talented lawyers to the firm.”

The want ad also touts the firm’s “unprecedented verdicts,” stating that it has “obtained billions of dollars” for clients.
