HOLLAND & KNIGHT: State Representative Travis Clardy Joins Holland & Knight in Texas

Holland & Knight issued the following announcement on Sept. 8.

Lawyer and State Representative Travis Clardy has joined Holland & Knight as of counsel in the firm's Austin office. Mr. Clardy is the current representative for Texas House District 11, representing Cherokee, Nacogdoches and Rusk counties.

"Travis is well known to many Holland & Knight attorneys and highly regarded within the legal community," said Mark Davis, executive partner of Holland & Knight's Austin office. "His previous work with many existing clients across the state presents a great opportunity for future collaboration."

Mr. Clardy's practice involves civil litigation at both the state and federal levels in a broad range of commercial matters, including employment law, environmental law, trucking litigation, insurance litigation, product liability litigation and commercial litigation. He also provides business and corporate counsel and creditor's bankruptcy representation. Mr. Clardy represents individuals, private business interests and Fortune 500 companies and is licensed to practice before the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mr. Clardy is the former president of the Shelby and Nacogdoches County bar associations and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (East Texas Chapter) and State Bar of Texas. In addition to Mr. Clardy's legal affiliations, he has served on the executive board of the East Texas Boy Scouts, is a Paul Harris Fellow at the Nacogdoches Rotary Club and a member of the Dean's Circle for the Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts.

Mr. Clardy received a J.D. degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and a B.B.A. degree from Abilene Christian University.
