HOUSTON – H-E-B was recently with a trip and fall lawsuit seeking more than $1 million in damages.

Keyonna Hall filed the suit Oct. 7 in Harris County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, Hall is a disabled individual who was injured in a Joe V’s Smart Shop parking lot on Sept. 12.

“Hall was being pushed by her mother in a walker when the walker hit a grade break on the concrete patch in front of Joe V’s, causing her to fall to the ground,” the suit states.

The suit asserts H-E-B should have “smoothed the transition between the original surface of the parking lot and the subsequently poured concrete patch.”

Hall is suing for her alleged pain, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment, loss of opportunity, loss of earnings, medical expenses, disfigurement and impairment.

Houston attorney Chance McMillan represents her.
