HOUSTON – The 14th Court of Appeals recently affirmed a ruling denying injunctive relief for a couple trying to stop Texas Children’s Hospital from taking their child of a ventilator.
Mario and Ana Torres brought the appeal. Court records show when their child arrived at Texas Children’s, there were no signs of neurological life. Two subsequent exams tested positive for brain death.
A trial court determined that the Torres have no shown a probable right of relief. The 14th Court affirmed the ruling Oct. 9.
