HOUSTON — A Harris County air conditioning contractor is being accused of negligence after one of their employees fell from an allegedly defective ladder while installing a unit.

Erias Gonzalez Palma filed a complaint Nov. 6 Harris County District Court against Venezuela Air Conditioning alleging negligence.

According to his complaint, Palma was working for Venezuela Air Conditioning on Sept. 10, 2020, and was installing an AC unit at a property in Spring. He claims he fell off a ladder and onto the ground and suffered injuries.

Palma alleges that Venezuela Air Conditioning supplied him with a defective ladder and that they were negligent in failing to provide him a safe work environment and for failing to train and or supervise their employees and subcontractors.

Palma further alleges in his suit that he incurred medical expenses and suffered pain, physical impairment, disfigurement and lost wages.

Palma seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $ million, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Jesus Salinas of The Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
