Man alleges employer told him to stand on a bucket on a wet floor, sues for $250K

HOUSTON – A local man is suing for injuries he received two years ago after his employer told him to stand on a bucket on a wet floor.

Seeking more than $250,000 in damages, Natanael Castanon filed suit against Abraham Grimaldo and his company, Abraham’s Fine Flooring, on Jan. 4 in Harris County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Jan. 5, 2019, Castanon was an employee of Abraham’s Fine Flooring. He told his employer her could not complete his job tasks the flooring was wet and he needed a ladder to reach a ten-foot ceiling.

He was then told to use a bucket and injured his hand. 

He is accusing the defendants of failing to provide the proper equipment.

He is suing for his past and future medical expenses, pain, impairment and loss of earnings.
