HOUSTON – A woman is claiming negligence after allegedly slipping on a puddle of water at a Houston business property.

Adriana Semiens filed a complaint on Jan. 7 in Harris County District Court against Allied Universal Executive Protection and Intelligence Services Inc. and Granite Properties Inc., alleging negligence.

Semiens alleges she was at the defendants' property on Aug. 8, 2019. She claims she slipped and fell on water that had accumulated on the floor near a drain and as a result has suffered pain, disability, impairment and mental anguish. Semiens also claims she has incurred medical, hospital and pharmaceutical expenses as a result of her alleged fall.

In addition, the plaintiff alleges she has had a "reduction in earnings and/or earning capacity" as a result of her injuries. She claims the defendants were negligent for failing to warn of the dangerous condition and failing to "properly" inspect the property. Semiens also claims the defendants' employees were not properly trained on how to make the premises reasonably safe.

Semiens seeks monetary relief between $50,000 and $74,999, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Jordan Glaze, Josh Garrett and Greg Geddie of Glaze Garrett PLLC in Gilmer.
