Taco Bell worker alleges she slipped on mopped, wet floor

HOUSTON — A worker is claiming negligence after she allegedly slipped on a just mopped wet floor at a Tomball Taco Bell and suffered injuries.  

Shamarion Young filed a complaint March  2 in Harris County District Court against Taco Bell of America LLC alleging negligence. 

Young claims in her complaint that while working at the Taco Bell restaurant on Kuykendahl Road In Tomball, she slipped and fell on the wet floor as she was walking to the restroom after a co-worker had just mopped the hallway. She alleges she suffered injuries to her leg, ankle and other parts of her body and that the co-worker had failed to put out any warnings, barriers or spotters to alert people the floor was wet. 

Young also alleges Taco Bell negligence for failing to inspect the area, implement safety protocols and providing a safe workplace. She further claims Taco Bell's  negligent hiring, training and supervising of its employees. 

Young seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Scott Armstrong and Teri Russell of Armstrong Lee LLP in Houston.
