HOUSTON – A Texas man alleging assault has filed suit against Bunny’s Gentlemen’s Club.

Seeking up to $1 million in damages, Deravian Williams filed the suit in Harris County District Court, also naming TBJNO Investments as a defendant.

According to the lawsuit, on Oct. 23, 2020, Williams was at Bunny’s Gentlemen’s Club, which had bouncers and security personnel on site.

“Defendants’ personnel attacked Plaintiff without warning or provocation,” the suit states. “This physical and violent assault on Plaintiff caused him to lose consciousness, and suffer severe injuries.”

At the time of the attack, Williams says he had not purchased or consumed any alcoholic beverage at the club.

“Defendants’ actions were unacceptable,” the suit states. “In fact, Defendants have been previously sued for their security assaulting an individual on the premises.

Despite numerous individuals working for Defendants on site, no one stopped the events unfolding that night, and no one rendered any aid to Plaintiff for his severe injuries.”

Following the incident, Williams went to the hospital for treatment, including facial surgery.

Williams alleges gross negligence and is suing for his pain, mental anguish, impairment, disfigurement, medical expenses, loss of earning capacity and loss of household services.

He is represented by Daly & Black attorneys Andrew Dao and Kyle Malone, along with attorney Treshaun Meredith of Calhoun, Meredith & Sims.
