HOUSTON — A woman claims she slipped and fell on an uneven sidewalk and broke her shoulder at a Houston apartment complex.

Yolanda Fink filed a complaint April 20 in Harris County District Court against Ivy Club Apartments alleging premises liability.

Fink alleges that while at the Ivy Club Apartments in Houston on April 2, 2021, she slipped and fell "due to an uneven sidewalk" and broke her shoulder as well as suffered injuries to other parts of her body. She claims the defendants failed to maintain its premises in a "reasonably safe condition," and failed to inspect its premises.

She further claims the defendants failed to correct or repair the dangerous condition that existed on its premises. Fink alleges she also suffered lost wages and incurred medical treatment expenses as a result of her fall on the defendants' premises.

Fink seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Joe Gabel of The Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
