HOUSTON — A woman undergoing cryotherapy at a Cryo spa in Harris County who suffered burns and scarring to her leg is claiming negligence.

Taylor Singh filed a complaint May 12 in Harris County District Court against Arctic Healing Spa LLC doing business as Arctic Healing Cryo alleging liability.

Singh was at Arctic Healing on June 9, 2019, for whole body cryotherapy which uses "cold temperature to promote natural healing and wellness." She claims after going into the cryotherapy chamber and receiving two treatments that she noticed severe burns to her leg and suffered "permanent scaring and pain."

Singh alleges the defendants failed to monitor the condition of the cryotherapy chamber, failed to properly train its employees and did not warn of the dangers and hazards of the treatment.

Singh seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, interest and trial by jury. She is represented by Paul Higdon and Christopher Bertini of Higdon Lawyers in Bellaire.
