HOUSTON — A Dollar Tree Store employee is claiming the company's negligence after boxes fell on top of her and caused her to suffer severe injuries.

Ashley Robles filed a complaint June 24 in Harris County District Court against Dollar Tree Stores Inc., alleging negligence.

Robles alleges that she was injured when boxes fell on top her while she was working at the Dollar Tree Store on Sept. 2, 2019, according to her suit. She claims that she suffered "severe" physical and mental pain, disfigurement and impairment as a result of her injuries as well as incurred medical treatment expenses.

Robles alleges the Dollar Tree failed to supervise, monitor or instruct her and was negligent for failing to provide her with adequate assistance. She also alleges Dollar Tree failed to provide her with the necessary tools and equipment to safely perform her job or provide her with any notice or warnings. According to her suit, Dollar Tree did not subscribe to Worker's Compensation insurance.

Robles seeks monetary relief of more than $50,000, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Lawrence Tylka of The Tylka Law Center PC in League City.
