HOUSTON – Latinos for America First and Latinos for Trump are suing several notable individuals for allegedly engaging in a “smear campaign.”

The suit was filed yesterday in Harris County and names Jennilynn Lohmer Salinas (Jen Loh), Kevin Whitt and Chelsea Garcia Howell as defendants.

Salinas is currently suing to overturn the 2021 election results.

Whitt made headlines back in February after the Texas GOP fired him for posting video from the Capitol riot and spreading conspiracy theories at a D.C. pizzeria.

According to the lawsuit, the plaintiffs are a qualified PAC focused on promoting conservative candidates and a reliant on the efforts of volunteers.

“Unfortunately, every great effort must overcome obstacles and critics as it grows,” the suit states. “False and destructive accusations serve only to hurt our entire community and mission.

“Such a recent smear campaign by Defendant Salinas, now joined by the other Defendants, has become wrongful and persistent enough that Plaintiffs are forced to address this issue.”

The plaintiffs are suing for general damages and seek an injunction.

They are represented by Houston attorney Christopher Ramey of The RB Legal Group.
