HOUSTON — A woman alleges water on the marble floor of the Grand Tuscany Hotel in Houston caused her to fall, hit her head and suffer multiple injuries.

Linda Quesada filed a complaint July 13 in Harris County District Court against Unique Hotel Management Group LLC alleging negligence.

Quesada alleges in her complaint that due to the defendant's negligence, she suffered a fall while at the Grand Tuscany Hotel on Northeast Freeway in Houston on Feb. 20, 2020. She claims the marble floors at the hotel's entry door were "covered in water" which caused her to fall and hit her head and back.

Quesada alleges the defendants failed to properly inspect and maintain the area and failed to warn of the unsafe condition. She further alleges the hotel staff did not clean the water off the floor "within a reasonable time" or to properly train or supervise their employees. Quesada also alleges she suffered physical pain and mental anguish and incurred medical expenses at a result of her fall.

Quesada seeks monetary relief between $110,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Tommy Mingledorff of The Mingledorff Law Firm in Houston.
