HOUSTON — A woman alleges she tripped over a wooden pallet that was on the aisle of a meat market in Houston and suffered injuries.

Ana Jimenez filed a complaint Oct. 20 in Harris County District Court against La Michoacana Meat Market Inc., alleging negligence.

Jimenez alleges in her complaint that she was at the La Michoacana Meat Market on FM 1960 Road in East Houston on Sept. 9, 2021. She claims that while shopping inside, she tripped on a wooden pallet that was placed in one of the aisles and hit the ground with force.

Jimenez alleges that as a result of the fall she suffered serious injuries including loss of earning capacity, disfigurement and impairment. She claims the defendant's negligence for allowing their premises to become dangerous and failing to keep the store in reasonably safe condition and the store floor free from hazards. Jimenez also claims the defendants failed to inspect the premises or warn of the dangerous condition.

Jimenez seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Pavel "Paul" Savinov and Sarah Y-NhI Huynh of The Huynh Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
