Restaurant customer alleges she was assaulted by employee

HOUSTON — A customer alleges that she was assaulted by an employee while at a restaurant in Harris County and suffered injuries.  

Cynthia Cervantes filed a complaint Nov. 9 in Harris County District Court against Haza Foods LLC and Bernadette Wolfe alleging negligence. 

Cervantes alleges in her suit that while at Haza Foods in Harris County on July 1, 2021, she was physically assaulted by their employee Wolfe. She claims as a result of being assaulted by Wolfe, she suffered physical pain, mental anguish and incurred medical expenses. Cervantes alleges Wolfe's negligence as well as Haza Food's negligence for its hiring, training, supervision and retention of Wolfe. 

Cervantes seeks monetary relief of $250,000 or less and all other just relief. She is represented by Scott Lannie of The Law Offices of Scott C. Lannie PC in Baytown.
