HOUSTON —  A woman alleges she tripped in the parking lot of Hartz Chicken Buffet and suffered serious injuries.

Bettie Booten-Mills filed a complaint  Dec. 16 in Harris County District Court against Shaheen Niazi Corporation alleging premises liability and negligence.

The plaintiff was walking in the parking lot at Hartz Chicken Buffet in Houston on February 20, 2020, according to her complaint. She claims she tripped and fell and landed "forcefully" on the ground and suffered serious injuries.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants agents and employees witnessed accidents caused by the dangerous condition and that the defendants took precautionary measures on other premises of similar design and construction around the country. She also alleges the dangerous condition existed long enough for it to be discovered through reasonable inspection and that they failed to warn of the hazard. The plaintiff claims as a result of the accident, she suffered pain, disfigurement, impairment and loss of earning capacity.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Jeffrey Todd of The Todd Law Group PLLC in Houston.
