HOUSTON — A man who slipped on pasta on the floor of a super market in Galena Park and suffered injuries is claiming negligence.
Juan Rodriguez filed a complaint Jan. 19 in Harris County District Court against Vinh Vu Inc., Vinh Vu Inc. doing Middleton's Super Market and Vinh Vu Corporation alleging negligence.
Rodriguez, according to his complaint, was at Middleton's Super Market on Clinton Drive in Galena Park on March 24, 2020. He claims that there was pasta on the floor which caused him to fall and suffer injuries that required ER treatment, physical therapy and other medical treatments.
Rodriguez alleges Middleton's negligence for allowing and creating the unreasonably dangerous condition, for failing to warn of the hazard or remedy the condition in a timely fashion. He also alleges the defendant failed to properly train or supervise their employees or to properly maintain and inspect its premises.
Rodriguez seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $ 1million, interest and all otehr just relief. He is represented by Carlos Hughes, Jr., of The Hughes Law Firm in Houston.
