HOUSTON — A woman alleges she suffered injuries while shopping at an Aldi in Humble due to slipping on a wet substance that was on the floor.

Brenda N. Alfaro filed a complaint Jan. 31 in Harris County District Court against Aldi (Texas) LLC alleging negligence and premises liability.

Alfaro, according to her suit, was at the Aldi on Bypass Road West in Humble on Sept. 10, 2022. She alleges that while in the store, she slipped and fell on an "unidentified wet substance" that was left on the floor and suffered injuries.

Alfaro claims the defendant's negligence for failing to provide a reasonably safe shopping environment, failing to follow proper safety rules and regulations, failing to warn of the unreasonably unsafe condition and failing to reduce or eliminate the hazard.

She also claims the defendants failed to properly inspect the area. Alfaro alleges as a result of her slip and fall, she suffered pain, impairment and incurred medical care expenses.

Alfaro seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Alberto de la Torre of The Law Office of Joel A. Levine PLLC in Austin.
