HOUSTON — A customer alleges an employee struck her with a dolly while she was shopping at a Ross Dress for Less store in Tomball.

Angela Stark filed a complaint Jan. 30 in Harris County District Court against Ross Dress For Less Inc., alleging premises liability and negligence.

Stark, according to her complaint, was shopping at the Ross Dress for Less on FM 2920 in Tomball on Oct. 17, 2020. She claims that as she was in one of the store aisles, an employee who was not paying attention, pushed a dolly into her and struck her in the head.

Stark alleges she suffered severe injuries and that the defendant knew or should have known of the dangerous condition which posed an unreasonable risk of harm to those walking through the store. She also alleges that customers notified the defendant of the dangerous condition at the premises or at other defendant's premises of similar design around the country and that employees witnessed accidents caused by the hazard.

Stark seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1million, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Jeffrey Todd of The Todd Law Group PLLC in Houston.
