HOUSTON - The Geico Insurance Agency was recently sued by an individual seeking underinsured motorist benefits.

Seeking relief of $100,000 or less, Curtlynn Christmas-Shands filed the breach of contract suit on March 26 in Harris County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on March 5, 2018, the plaintiff was exiting out of a parking spot when an underinsured driver suddenly collided with the rear of the plaintiff’s vehicle. The plaintiff suffered serious injuries requiring extensive medical treatment.

The suit states Geico has denied to provide a reasonable amount of money to the plaintiff to settle the uninsured motorist claim.

Attorneys Paul Skrabanek and Michael Grinsfelder of Pierce Skrabanek in Houston represent the plaintiff.

Case No. 2022-18409
