HOUSTON — A woman alleges a concrete parking curb that was not painted in contrast to the parking lot caused her trip and fall.

Chang Ahn filed a complaint April 12 in Harris County District Court against Texas Petroleum Group LLC alleging premises liability, negligence and other claims.

According to her complaint, Ahn was at the defendant's Timewise convenience store on Fry Road in Houston on Feb. 17, 2021. She claims that she fell over an elevated concrete wheel stop that was not painted in contrast to the parking lot surface.

Ahn alleges as a result of her fall, she suffered physical and emotional damages, lost earnings as well as incurred medical treatment expenses. She claims the defendant's negligence for properly inspected and maintaining the walkway or give adequate warnings of the unsafe condition in the walking area.

Ahn also claims the defendant was negligent for failing to timely remove the dangerous condition and that they knew or should have known of the dangerous condition. She alleges that customers notified the defendant of the dangerous condition on their property.

Ahn seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Ian Hernandez and Jimmy Sunosky of Hernandez Sunosky LLP in Houston.
