Bowman and Brooke boosts Dallas office with new hires

DALLAS — Bowman and Brooke LLP has announced the additions of Partner Alan Vickery, Associate Sebastian Nunez and the return of Senior Counsel Katherine Handy. 

A press release states that the attorneys are dedicated to the defense of Global 500 manufacturers in product liability litigation, specifically for the firm’s automotive, consumer and life sciences clients. As a result of this and anticipated additional growth, the firm signed a new lease at Towne Square Place I in Plano, TX.

  • Trial Attorney Alan Vickery brings 25 years of experience navigating large pharmaceutical and medical device companies through mass tort litigation from Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP. Highly acclaimed in the pharmaceutical and medical device field, Vickery has been awarded the Life Sciences Star, 2012-2021 and Leading Life Sciences Lawyer, 2021-2022 by LMG Life Sciences and the Litigation Star, 2016-2021 by Benchmark Litigation.
  • Returning to the firm is Senior Counsel Katherine Handy, recently named by Latino Leaders Magazine as one of the top 50 Latino lawyers in the country. Handy concentrates her practice on defending clients against product liability claims, with a particular focus on automotive and medical device products. Handy was most recently at Locke Lord LLP.
  • Associate Sebastian Nunez is a trial lawyer with first and second chair experience, having joined the firm from Kemp Smith, El Paso, TX, where he defended claims of negligence and wrongful death. Nunez is a 2018 graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law.
The firm’s newly relocated Dallas office has grown to twelve total, including attorneys and professional staff. In Plano, TX, the office is located in the new Towne Square Place I, strategically situated near firm client Toyota Motor North America.
