HOUSTON — A couple alleges "bad fuel" from Sunoco caused their pickup truck to be damaged and that the repair company failed to make the contracted repairs.

Grant Rodgers and Jessie Rodgers filed a complaint May 13 in Harris County District Court against Sunoco Inc., Powerstroke Enginuties LLC and Sterling Diesel Performance LLC alleging breach of contract and other claims.

The plaintiffs claim they purchased "bad fuel" from Sunoco for their Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and had Powerstroke repair their vehicle after the fuel purchase. They further claim that Powerstroke relocated their truck and while under their possession, the truck became flooded and was declared a total loss.

The plaintiffs allege that after inspecting their truck after the flood, there were repair parts still packaged in the vehicle that were not used to repair the truck. They claim Powerstroke breached the repair contract by failing to make repairs on their truck despite receiving compensation and failed to return the vehicle and compensate them for their loss.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. They are represented by Attorney John Patton, III in Houston.
