HOUSTON - An automobile collision lawsuit has been brought against Best Insulation and Best Insulation Leasing.
Patricia Rodriguez and Arturo Sorto filed the suit in Harris County District Court.
According to the petition, on May 24 the plaintiffs were traveling in Houston when the defendants’ driver, who was speeding and not keeping a proper lookout, slammed into their vehicle. The impact caused severe damage to the vehicle and the plaintiffs suffered serious injuries.
“Defendants conduct various insulation projects across the state, and entrust company vehicles to their workers, to carry out such work,” the suit states. “Despite this, Defendants do not properly screen, train and/or supervise their workers.”
The plaintiffs seek damages for physical pain and suffering in the past and future; mental anguish in the past and future; physical impairment and disfigurement in the past and future; medical expenses in the past and future; loss of earning capacity in the past and future; loss of household services in the past and future; costs of suit; and pre-judgment and post-judgment interest at the appropriate rate allowed by law.
The plaintiffs also seek exemplary or punitive damages.
They are represented by attorney Andrew Dao of Daly & Black.
