GALVESTON - A disability discrimination lawsuit has been brought against RV Retailer, LLC and RV Retailer Texas, LLC.

Brent Garrison filed the suit on June 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Galveston Division.

According to the lawsuit, RV Retailer failed to maintain a workplace free of unlawful discrimination and retaliation, discriminating against Garrison based on his disability by first taking away his ability to earn commissions as a sales employee.

In his suit, Garrison claims that after he reported a manager’s actions to human resources, the manager retaliated against him and human resources did not do anything to protect him.

“Finally, just two weeks after Garrison reported the ongoing discrimination and retaliation to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Texas Workforce Commission, RV Retailer retaliated by firing him,” the suit states.

The suit asserts RV Retailer’s actions were committed with malice, and that RV Retailer’s unlawful actions caused Garrison to suffer loss of earning capacity, lost back pay, loss of benefits, and other damages.

Attorney Nitin Sud of Sud Law in Bellaire represents Garrison.
