HOUSTON – A Harris County man's lawsuit against a rideshare company alleges the plaintiff sustained personal injuries during a ride last year, according to recent Harris County District Court records.
Plaintiff Nathan McGraw filed the suit against Uber Technologies, Inc., in the Harris County District Court, citing negligence by one of its drivers, Mustafa Betkar.
According to the lawsuit, March 31, 2021, the plaintiff had hailed the driver for rideshare services and was a passenger in the defendant's vehicle. McGraw asserts that at the end of his ride with Betkar, while the motorist was driving away, he ran over his foot and ankle in the process.
The suit asserts that McGraw suffered injuries to his foot and ankle which will require surgery to repair.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $1,000,000 for his injuries, medical bills, interest, court costs, and any other relief the court deems proper. He is represented in this case by attorney Patrick O'Hara of O'Hara Law Firm, P.C. in Houston.
