GALVESTON — The owners of Adventure Pointe Theme Park in Texas City claim the contractor they hired to construct the park failed to complete the project.

The Harli Group LLC filed a complaint Aug. 8 in Galveston County District Court against Tiny Town Studios LLC alleging breach of contract.

According to Harli Group's complaint, they hired Tiny Town to construct the Adventure Pointe Theme Park in Texas City off of Interstate 45. They allege the contract included the construction of the Land of OZ, a mining town with water features and a pirate ship experience for a contract price of $1,500,000. The Harli group claims Tiny Town failed to complete any portion of the project by March 2018 and that an independent inspection found numerous defects.

Specifically, Harli claims Tiny Town left deteriorated wood with no fastening, exterior structure collapse and work not completed to pay point. They allege the cost for them to complete and correct Tiny Town's work is $800,000. Harli claims the defendant's breach of contract and seeks recovery of the funds they advanced to Tiny Town.

Harli seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. He is represented Craig Saunders of Craig W. Saunders PLLC in Houston and Thomas Knickerbocker of The Knickerbocker Law Firm PLLC in Nassau Bay.
