A lawsuit filed against Lee’s Capital Consulting Firm LLC, alleges that the company cut and run on its contractual obligations, with the plaintiff seeking damages for breach of contract.
According to court documents, plaintiff Marcus Jackson filed the complaint Aug. 10 in Harris County (TX) District Court against Lee’s Capital Consulting Firm LLC, based in Frisco, TX, and members Gabriel Lee and Donielle Lee, alleging breach of contract against the company and its operatives. The plaintiff, citing a contract attached to his filing, claims he invested $20,000 in a one-year agreement with Lee’s Capital. Jackson claims the company made three $500 payments to him before stopping payments, adding that repeated attempts to contact the defendants netted neither his money nor a response. He said the defendants are holding his money, which he now wants returned.
Jackson has requested that a series of admissions be made, asking defendant Lee to “admit that at some point you were trading without a license.” Jackson also asks Lee to admit that the agreement between them “stated the company would not be liable to client for any action or failure to act resulting in loss or harm to the investment except in the case of gross negligence" or willful misconduct, the suit alleged.
The plaintiff seeks monetary relief, damages, restitution, attorney’s fees, court costs and interest, and "all other just relief." He is represented by Davis Somoye of Somoye & Associates Attorneys at Law of Houston.
