The legal battle between Michael Pullara & Joseph W. Carcione, Jr., and Thomas R. Ajamie & Ajamie LLP has been filed in the District Court of Harris County, Texas under the case ID 2024-21404 on April 4, 2024. The plaintiffs allege that the defendants have failed to disclose how the fees earned from prosecuting partnership actions would be split, making their Fee Sharing Agreement unenforceable under Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct.

Michael Pullara is a licensed Texas attorney with expertise in litigating certain partnership disputes against a major publicly traded company. Joseph W. Carcione is a California resident who retained Pullara to investigate and pursue claims against the same company in the Partnership Actions. Thomas R. Ajamie is a licensed Texas attorney and named partner of defendant Ajamie LLP, which agreed to joint representation of the Partnership Plaintiffs under a Fee Sharing Agreement with Pullara.

The plaintiffs are seeking non-monetary relief as well as monetary relief exceeding $1,000,000 for damages caused by alleged misconduct by defendants in handling their case. They argue that due to defendants' failure to disclose material terms of fee sharing agreement and obtaining written approval for it, they claim entitlement to a portion of contingency fee earned from Partnership Actions.
