Wesco Insurance Company has filed a lawsuit against Marta Lidia Peraza in the County Civil Court at Law No. 4, Harris County, Texas. The case ID is Nol226129 and it was filed on April 12, 2024. The lawsuit alleges that Peraza caused an accident by failing to control her speed and rear-ending Wesco's insured vehicle.

Represented by attorneys Christopher A. Fusselman and Jason E. Wells from The Fusselman Law Firm, P.C., Wesco claims that the incident occurred on January 14, 2023, near Katy Freeway in Houston. The company states that it paid insurance benefits amounting to $6,793.64 for repair costs and loss of use/rental expense due to the accident.

The plaintiff alleges that Peraza's negligence directly resulted in these damages. They further claim that Peraza's insurance carrier has refused coverage for the incident, exposing her to statutory attorney's fees and license suspension.

Wesco is seeking monetary relief of $250,000 or less, excluding interest, statutory or punitive damages and penalties, attorneys' fees and costs. The company also requests judgment for all other relief to which it deems itself justly entitled.
