Rebecca and Tyron Young have filed a lawsuit against Pulte Homes of Texas, LP in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. The case ID is 2024-18649 and was filed on March 22, 2024. The plaintiffs accuse the defendant of negligence and breach of warranty in relation to their home's construction.

The Youngs, residents of Harris County, allege that their home was improperly constructed with latent defects including framing issues hidden from view. These defects have resulted in walls and ceilings settling severely, cracked drywall, and uneven exterior cladding. The couple has provided notice of these defects to Pulte Homes.

Despite the defendant's inspection and promise to repair the damages, no clear plan or standards for repairs were provided. The plaintiffs have requested additional information and inspections while seeking a toll on statutes of limitations until such processes are completed.

The Youngs are seeking damages within the jurisdictional limits of the court for negligence, breach of express and implied warranties, and violations under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. They claim that Pulte Homes failed to construct their residence in a good and workmanlike manner, hired negligent subcontractors without proper supervision, and breached warranties by failing to repair the home after being notified.
