In a case filed in the District Court of Harris County, Texas on March 21, 2024 (Case No. 2024-18288), plaintiff Mahvish Khan is suing Chrysolite Aesthetics, P.L.L.C and Rawan Abu-Zeitoon, MD for damages due to alleged negligence during a medical procedure. The lawsuit seeks monetary relief of $250,000 or less and nonmonetary relief.

The plaintiff alleges that she was subjected to substandard care during a platelet-rich plasma facial treatment administered by the defendants on January 12, 2022. According to the court filing, Dr. Zeitoon allowed harmful chemicals to get into Khan's eyes during the procedure which resulted in severe pain and injuries requiring significant medical attention.

Khan accuses Chrysolite Aesthetics and Dr. Zeitoon of negligence, negligent hiring, training, supervision, and breach of duty. She asserts that their actions were violations of standard medical practice and ordinary care expected from reasonably prudent medical practitioners under similar circumstances.

Khan is seeking damages for physical pain and mental anguish suffered in the past and future; loss of earning capacity; loss of wages; disfigurement; physical impairment; and medical care expenses incurred as a direct result of the defendants' alleged negligence.
