Kenneth sues Matagorda Island for personal injury caused by negligence

In the District Court of Harris County, Texas, plaintiff Kenneth Gore has filed a lawsuit against defendants Matagorda Island, Inc. and Cardinal Logistics Management Corporation. The case ID is 2024-26397 and was filed on April 24, 2024.

The lawsuit arises from personal injuries that Gore sustained on January 18, 2024. According to the court filing, Gore suffered severe injuries when an equipment operator from Matagorda Island knocked unstrapped timbers off a trailer owned and operated by Cardinal Logistics, causing them to fall onto him. As a result of this incident, Gore sustained catastrophic injuries including an amputated leg and eye, and a broken back.

Gore is seeking judgment for his physical pain, mental anguish, loss of earnings in the past as well as future earning capacity and medical expenses. He also seeks punitive damages due to gross negligence on part of the defendants who he alleges acted with flagrant and malicious disregard for his health and safety.
