Miguel A. Salinas has filed a lawsuit against Ashley D. Villarreal-Martinez and Larry A. Millican in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, under the case ID 2024-26638 on April 25, 2024. The plaintiff alleges that he was attacked by pitbulls owned by defendant Villarreal-Martinez, resulting in severe injuries and damages.

Salinas asserts that the incident occurred on August 30, 2023, when his pets were attacked by Villarreal-Martinez's pitbulls in his home's backyard. In attempting to stop the attack, Salinas himself was assaulted by the dogs. The property where this incident took place is owned by defendant Millican and leased to Villarreal-Martinez.

The plaintiff accuses Villarreal-Martinez of negligence for failing to confine or restrict her animals securely and failing to provide adequate controls for them. He also holds her strictly liable as she knew or should have known about her pets' dangerous propensities which caused his injuries.

Salinas seeks monetary relief over $1,000,000 for his severe injuries and damages caused by the incident. He also invokes the doctrine of strict liability under section 402A of the Restatement of the Law of Torts, 2d.
