Ana Bruges has filed a lawsuit against Lewis Food Town, Inc and Ho & Huang Properties, LP in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. The case ID is 2024-27593 and was filed on April 29, 2024. The plaintiff alleges that she suffered serious bodily injuries due to a dangerous condition at the defendants' premises.
The incident took place on July 30, 2022, when Bruges visited the defendants' property located at 8800 W Sam Houston Parkway South, Houston. She slipped and fell on a slippery substance near the entryway of the store while following an employee to the customer service desk. The plaintiff asserts that there were no warning signs near the substance and she was not warned about it by any of the defendant's employees.
Bruges is seeking damages for her injuries claiming that the defendants knew or should have known about the dangerous condition due to their employee's proximity to it. She further alleges that none of Food Town’s employees made the condition safe or warned her about it.
