Vincent Hubbard has filed a lawsuit against Marathon Oil Company, Marathon Petroleum Company, LP, and MPC Investment LLC D/B/A MPC Investment LLC of Delaware in the District Court of Harris County, Texas (Court Case ID: 2024-29580) on May 8, 2024. The case revolves around an incident that occurred at a petroleum facility in Texas City, Texas, where Hubbard alleges he sustained multiple injuries due to unsafe conditions on the premises.

On July 29, 2022, while working for RC Williams Enterprises at the facility operated by the defendants, Hubbard fell through an uncovered oil-water separator grating and suffered significant injuries. Represented by attorneys Mathew E. Mendoza and W. Clark Martin IV from Martin Law Firm PLLC, Hubbard claims that the defendants failed to provide adequate warnings or safety measures around the hazardous area. He seeks over $1 million in damages for medical expenses, lost wages, physical pain and suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment or incapacity, and disfigurement.

Hubbard is seeking judgment against all defendants jointly and severally for actual damages exceeding $1 million. Additionally, he requests pre-judgment and post-judgment interest at the highest legal rate as well as costs of suit.
