Monque Watkins has filed a lawsuit against Peter Sterling in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, under case ID 2024-29645. The filing, dated May 9, 2024, alleges that Watkins suffered serious bodily injuries due to faulty flooring on Sterling's property located at 3014 Elgin St., Houston, Texas.

According to the complaint, on August 27, 2023, Watkins was an invitee on Sterling's property when she stepped through defective flooring and fell into a hole. Represented by attorney Giovanni Padilla from The Z&P Law Group, Watkins claims that Sterling failed to maintain the premises safely and did not provide any warnings about the dangerous condition. She seeks damages for medical expenses and physical and mental suffering.

Watkins is seeking monetary relief between $250,000 and $1,000,000 for her injuries. The plaintiff requests a jury trial and demands disclosure of information as per Texas Rules of Civil Procedure 194.
