A slip-and-fall incident at a local taco restaurant has led to a significant legal battle. Rhonda Thayer Daniels filed a complaint against Milhoy 2 LLC, doing business as Grab N Go Tacos, in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, on July 23, 2024.

The lawsuit stems from an incident that occurred on June 24, 2023. According to the complaint, Daniels was visiting the Grab N Go Tacos location at 7312 Louetta Road in Spring, Texas when she slipped and fell due to a liquid substance on the floor. Daniels claims that this fall resulted in severe and painful injuries. The plaintiff asserts that the defendant's negligence in maintaining safe premises directly caused her injuries.

Daniels' petition outlines several specific accusations against Milhoy 2 LLC. She alleges that the company failed to prevent hazardous conditions by not adequately constructing the floor with non-slip materials and not maintaining or inspecting the premises to prevent liquids from accumulating on the floor. Additionally, she claims that there was a failure to clean up spills promptly and to warn customers about potential dangers. "Defendant owed a duty to Plaintiff to exercise ordinary care...to reduce or eliminate the unreasonable risk of harm," states Daniels' petition.

The plaintiff is seeking damages exceeding $250,000 but not more than $1,000,000 for past and future physical pain, loss of earnings, disfigurement, physical impairment, medical expenses, and other economic losses. Furthermore, Daniels demands prejudgment and post-judgment interest as allowed by law and requests that all evidence related to the incident be preserved by the defendant.

Representing Rhonda Thayer Daniels is Erik S. Gonzalez from The Stano Law Firm. The case has been assigned Case ID 2024-45907 and will be heard in Harris County's 127th District Court.
