Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is pleased to announce that Scott C. Sanders has joined the Firm’s Houston office, expanding its service offerings to include employee benefits and executive compensation expertise. Recognized by The Legal 500 since 2011, and most recently by Chambers USA, Scott joins Dinsmore’s national Compensation and Benefits practice, which provides results-driven counsel to publicly traded companies, privately held businesses, tax-exempt organizations, state and local governments, as well as professional firms and individuals.

Scott advises clients on a wide range of employee benefits and executive compensation matters, including the employee benefits aspects of M&A transactions and the design, implementation and administration of retirement plans, welfare plans, executive compensation packages and equity compensation arrangements.

In January 2024, Dinsmore expanded into the Texas legal market by opening its 30th office nationwide, led by a seven-attorney team specializing in complex commercial litigation, representation of design professionals, transportation, legal malpractice and coverage and bad faith matters. “I am excited to join Dinsmore as it seeks to further establish its presence in Texas,” Scott said. With Scott’s addition, the office has grown to 11 attorneys, reinforcing the Firm’s commitment to recruiting talent that enhances our ability to support the business community in one of North America’s largest and most diverse cities. “Dinsmore’s excellent reputation and collaborative culture are very attractive to me, and I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues.”

“We are so excited to welcome Scott to Dinsmore’s growing Houston office,” said office managing partner Sarah Smith. “The additional bench strength is a testament to the Firm’s dedication to attracting attorneys who are not only extremely talented, but also a pleasure to work with. We are honored he has joined us.”

Scott earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University, graduating Summa Cum Laude and earning membership in the Omicron Delta Kappa and Mortar Board honor societies. He received his Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School, graduating Cum Laude as Valedictorian and serving as Senior Notes and Comments Editor for the Baylor Law Review.
