A Harris County resident has filed a lawsuit against a local trampoline park, alleging negligence after suffering injuries on the premises. On December 12, 2024, Simone Glenn filed a complaint in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, against Pearland Urban Air, LLC, which operates as Urban Air Adventure Park and Urban Air Trampoline Park.
The case stems from an incident that occurred on December 31, 2022. According to the complaint, Glenn was injured when she slipped on stairs in a poorly lit area of the park located at 3207 South Sam Houston Parkway East in Houston. The plaintiff claims that her fall resulted in serious injuries due to inadequate lighting and maintenance by the defendants. The lawsuit outlines several allegations of negligence against Pearland Urban Air. It accuses the company of failing to properly monitor the premises for hazardous conditions and not providing adequate lighting or maintenance to prevent slip-and-fall accidents. Furthermore, it alleges that there were no warnings about potential hazards such as poor lighting or slippery surfaces.
Glenn is seeking damages for medical expenses incurred due to her injuries and anticipates future medical costs related to the accident. She also claims loss of earning capacity both past and future, physical pain and suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment, and incidental damages. The petition specifies that Glenn is seeking compensation exceeding $200,000 but less than $1 million.
Representing Simone Glenn are attorneys Mark A. Carrigan from Carrigan Law Group P.C., and Jon R. Alworth from The Alworth Law Firm. The case is being presided over by Judge Patricia Jones under Case ID 2024-86493.
