Ismael Cornier has filed a lawsuit against several automotive businesses following a slip-and-fall incident that resulted in serious injuries. The complaint was lodged on December 13, 2024, in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, naming RPFG Limited Partnership, Prestige Ford Co. Limited Partnership, and World Class Automotive Operations, Inc., doing business as Quick Lane, as defendants.

The case stems from an incident on February 2, 2025, when Cornier alleges he slipped and fell due to a hazardous substance left unaddressed on the floor at Quick Lane located on the Eastex Freeway in Houston. Cornier claims he was an invitee on the premises owned or controlled by the defendants and that they failed to maintain a safe environment. According to the petition, "Defendants owed Plaintiff the duty to inspect the premises and maintain them in a reasonably safe condition." The plaintiff asserts that this negligence led directly to his injuries.

Cornier's lawsuit seeks compensation for various damages including medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish, lost wages, physical impairment, and disfigurement. He is pursuing monetary relief exceeding $250,000 but not more than $1 million. The legal action is grounded in Texas law aimed at recovering just compensation for his injuries and associated losses.

Representing Cornier is attorney Gilbert Garza from Adley Law Firm LTD LLP. The case has been assigned to Judge Chandra Lawson under Case ID 2024-86862.
