Christian Alexis Garcia Segundo has filed a lawsuit against Home Depot USA, Inc., alleging negligence after an incident at one of their stores resulted in significant injuries. The complaint was filed on January 23, 2025, in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, targeting Home Depot USA, Inc.

The plaintiff, Christian Alexis Garcia Segundo, claims that on January 24, 2023, while purchasing materials at a Home Depot store located on Fairmont Parkway in Pasadena, Texas, he was struck by a front door that detached due to windy conditions. This unexpected event caused severe physical injuries to Garcia Segundo. He argues that the incident was a direct result of Home Depot's negligence in maintaining and securing the premises' doors to ensure customer safety. The lawsuit accuses Home Depot of failing to follow reasonable procedures to eliminate injury risks and not exercising ordinary care. "Defendants possessed actual knowledge of the existence of the dangerous condition," states the petition.

Garcia Segundo is seeking compensation for both general and special damages incurred due to the alleged negligence. The relief sought includes reasonable medical costs for past and future treatment related to his injuries, compensation for physical pain and mental anguish suffered both in the past and anticipated in the future, as well as physical impairment or disfigurement. Additionally, he seeks court costs and pre- and post-judgment interest as allowed by law.

Representing Christian Alexis Garcia Segundo is attorney Jason Castaneda from Houston, Texas. The case has been assigned Case ID 2025-04631 in Court 152 with Judge Marilyn Burgess presiding over it.
